A Lemonade Stand Fundraiser was held on August 11. Local children made homemade lemonade and five dozen chocolate chip cookies. They also set out a selection of candy and toys to give away. It was a donate what you can event. There were also three jars of candies set out filled with skittles and gummy worms and the person to guess the exact number of candies in each jar won the entire jar. The entire event from the poster to the guessing game was coordinated and planned by the kids. The parents helped with the execution of the event, but the idea for the fundraiser and what was going to be offered was all done by the kids. $242.50 was raised with proceeds being donated to SickKids Hospital and Handfull Hearts (founded by a local resident of Etobicoke).
